Welcome to the RaukR 2026 Awesome Website πͺ¨
This website is co-created by the entire RaukR cohort β one fork, one branch, one pull request at a time. Every page you see was added by a student practicing their git powers. β‘
π― Your mission
By the end of the workshop you should have:
- Forked this repository to your own GitHub account.
- Added yourself to the Participants gallery.
- Made at least one contribution to a shared page (and survived the resulting merge conflict π).
- Opened a pull request back to this repo and gotten it merged.
Head straight to the Contributing guide. It walks you through fork β clone β branch β commit β push β PR, step by step.
πΊοΈ Whatβs on the site
| Page | What you do there | Conflict risk |
|---|---|---|
| π Participants | Add your own profile card (one new file) | π’ Low |
| π Bug Horror Stories | Add your worst bug ever | π΄ High |
| β Best Fika | Rate the best fika on Gotland | π΄ High |
| β¨ R One-Liners | Share a favourite (or cursed) one-liner | π΄ High |
| π Recommendations | Recommend a paper, book or podcast | π΄ High |
The π’ low-risk page gives you a clean, conflict-free PR to build confidence. The π΄ high-risk pages are deliberately set up so that everyone edits the same file β thatβs where youβll learn to git pull, rebase, and resolve conflicts like a pro.
π€ The whole point
The content here is meant to be quick and fun β a sentence or two each. The real learning is in the git workflow, not in writing essays. Keep your entries short, keep your commits frequent, and donβt be afraid to break things. Thatβs what forks are for. π
